Convince my best friend to go to the dentist
Her wisdom teeth have gone bad, and she is in lots of pain from time to time, but is scared of neadles, so won't go and have them fixed.

Is this Rhiannon? Aww I was hoping our replies to her dentist mission would convince her!
Do you think horror stories would help? When my sister wouldn't go to the dentist or even brush her teeth, I gave graphic detail of a few dental treatments and scared her into looking after her teeth lol! Doesn't work for everyone though.

I will not name names, but something has to give, she is still putting up with it. I don't think horror stories would work, but somehow we must get her there, before insepticemia sets in, or blood poisoning(maybe they are both the same)She will kill me for this,LOL

Yes, she should, it still would be better to have the teeth fixed though.

It the GP treats the infection you will only have to get her to the dentist once. If it is infected the dentist can't treat until after antibiotics so she would be sent home to come back in 10 days after antibiotics.

Lol, she has used that excuse to not go to the dentist already, and you are right, that is what happens.

When I did that, the dentist pulled me in and treated while infected! So that excuse really doesn't last long. There is only so long the doctor will prescribe antibiotics for a dental problem.

Hi.. I had my 4 wisdom teeth out (in the dentist's chair!!), so I was awake for the whole procedure, in Sydney - my dentist convinced me that it was better out than in... that I'd have problems later on in life, if I didn't. Actually I didn't feel anything... until the painkillers wore off. But, look on the bright side... you get the day off, wonderful tons of icecream, videos+DVDs... chocolates, not that I could eat anything :) .. visualize that you're on the beach enjoying your cocktails, or in the Bahamas, somewhere,.. or the islands in Fiji... and the trip to the dentist is just a doddle, and your friend won't have to worry about that particular toothache anymore.. good luck with your mission.
