Escape from Italy and live in London forever
I need to find an home in London and a job in fashion. Or a corner in a shop where I could make my clothes, paying a little rent. I have no much money at the moment so I'm searching some helps with ideas or a place to stay and working in London or Brighton.
I'm an italian woman, young ! nice dynamic enthusiastic cordial willin, I smoke about 2 x day, drinking only socially, clean, honest...

Hi Marisa. At least you can get a work visa in England easily. Next thing is to find a job. You could put up some photos of the kinds of garments you make. Also, try searching the internet for fashion houses, and send them your CV with some photos of your work, or a sample.

Hi Jo, so you're italian and a dressmaker as me, well, nice to meet you! I'm putting ads on some website to find a job in London. I think my problem is my bad spoken english... but I always try again :-) I don't ned any permit to work in England. thanks

Hi Marisa, well, I am not Italian, I am actually from New Zealand, but I married an Italian, so I live here now (moved here in 2000). I love sewing, all facets of it, and creating new projects. Did I understand that you have a duaghter in Brighton? Could she help you find work there? As to your spoken English, what part of Italy do you live in? You can usually find expats like me, who don't mind having a cup of tea and a chat! So you can practise. Anyway, once you start living in england, your english will improve dramatically!
